Boca Grande Florida
Wow! Were we impressed by our visit to Boca Grande. This is easily one of the top five cities to see in Florida. As soon as we hit the Boca Grande Causeway, it was very clear this was a very special Florida Getaway. It is located on the seven mile long Gasparilla Island. On both sides of the island are some of the most beautiful waters, nestled up against the area's lush and tropical landscape. Boats are everywhere, and why not, the area is acclaimed for its tarpon and shark fishing. The city itself is filled with waterfront hotels, motels, and resorts. We rented a golf cart and spent a wonderful weekend touring the shops, waterfront restaurants, and beaches. Boca Grande is a true tropical paradise!

Oh the fishing here is the best. If you take a fishing charter, it will be fully rigged with all the fishing gear needed for a great day of angling.

Boca Grande has a wonderful selection of hotels. We really liked the Gasparilla Inn, Innlet On the Waterfront, and the Anchor Inn.

You have to love restaurant dining next to the pool, with a view of the Gulf.
