Bradenton Beach Florida
Down near the northern end of Anna Maria Island is a scenic beachside drive, one highlighted by tall Australian Pines which line the beautiful beach coastline. If you have taken this drive up Gulf Drive, then you have seen the wonderful area of Bradenton Beach. Snorkeling, sunbathing, fishing, and picnicking are just some of the recreational opportunities provided at this tropical paradise. You can walk to some great shopping, waterfront restaurants, and even rent a boat to get out on the water!

Part of history of the beach area are the fishing piers, which sit empty due to damage from storms and tides. They remain to help the sea life.

You will find Bradenton Beach just about a mile south of the Cortez Bridge.

The surf is typically mild, but surfing waves can pick up when the winds come from the west.

The beach chairs get some use, but most of the time we are walking the beach or in the water.

The area is packed with great hotels along Bridge Street and Gulf Drive, we enjoyed both the Tradewinds and Econo Lodge.
