Ken Thompson Park
A friend of mine was looking to buy a piece of real estate in Sarasota, and she asked me where to look. I told her, that a waterfront home is the way to go. But, if you can't afford to live on the water then live near a great park, and one that has a boat ramp. So, where is the best boat ramp park in Sarasota Florida? It is Ken Thompson Park!

How about this view? This has to be the perfect place to have a picnic, with a back drop of the downtown Sarasota cityscape and harbor just behind this family. |

Mote Aquarium is located on the western part of the park. This is a nice attraction and aquatic learning experience for both children and adults. |

Thompson Park is an active place, as the local residence from Longboat Key, Lido, and St. Armands use it daily. |

Pet owners have a big play area in the middle of the park to enjoy. Ken Thompson is one of the many dog parks scattered around Sarasota County. |

Bicycling is the best way to get around Ken Thompson, Lido, and Longboat Key. So many people start park and start here, touring Sarasota by both bike and by boat. |
